About the Role
Join Siemens Digital Industries as a Project Execution Lead and play a pivotal role in advancing automation and digitalization in key industries such as water distribution, chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas. This position is based in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia, and offers the opportunity to develop innovative control system solutions that meet complex customer needs while supporting sustainable growth and ecological balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement control system solutions aligned with customer technical requirements, standards, and engineering best practices.
- Create and refine project specifications addressing sophisticated client demands, focusing on SCADA and ESD systems for onshore and offshore installations.
- Lead software engineering, integrate third-party systems, and manage hardware planning and control cabinet production, coordinating with engineering partners and global subcontractors.
- Conduct functional, optimization, acceptance, and delivery tests including internal, factory, and integration testing.
- Prepare, review, and update comprehensive project documentation to ensure quality and compliance.
- Assist the bidding team by providing technical expertise during the proposal phase.
- Regularly communicate project progress, team performance, and critical updates to management, ensuring timely escalation of relevant issues.
Candidate Profile
- Holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or related engineering fields with 10-12 years experience across operational project and service functions as well as non-operational bidding roles.
- Demonstrated 8-10 years of engineering and commissioning experience with Siemens DCS/SCADA – PCS 7 systems through full project lifecycles for major customers.
- Ability to provide technical leadership and manage subprojects within broader automation initiatives.
- Comprehensive understanding of Siemens product portfolios and third-party integrations, including insights into competitor products for interfacing.
- Strong knowledge of Operational Technology (OT) Cybersecurity principles and experience participating in OTCC customer deployments.
- Project management certification such as PMP highly desirable.
- Commitment to fostering inclusive, respectful workplace environments supporting diversity and effective collaboration with multiple stakeholders.
- Familiarity with AI-driven platforms and enthusiasm for leveraging cutting-edge technologies.
- Intercultural experience with willingness to travel frequently (up to 40%) to customer sites for deployment activities.
