About the Team
You will join the Return & Refund product area, where the focus is on improving the post-purchase experience across the eCommerce journey. The role involves shaping practical and innovative solutions that make after-sales interactions smoother for buyers and sellers. This includes building new after-sales capabilities, applying AI-enabled product approaches to create a more efficient and fair review process, and helping improve both operational efficiency and overall user satisfaction.
Role Overview
As a product intern in Order Operations, you will help drive product work that affects buyer and seller experiences, as well as the cost and efficiency of return and refund operations.
Responsibilities
- Own the full product development process and collaborate closely with design, analytics, engineering, and data science teams to deliver high-impact solutions.
- Work continuously to improve products by understanding business pain points, aligning with stakeholders, setting priorities, and delivering outcomes effectively.
- Look for opportunities to expand Return & Refund coverage, strengthen auto-judging capability and accuracy, shorten end-to-end resolution time, reduce dispute and compensation costs, and enhance buyer and seller sentiment.
- Investigate advanced AI-driven approaches for return and refund workflows and strategy design.
- Define meaningful metrics and use data analysis to uncover insights into user behavior and product performance.
Requirements
- Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Engineering, Statistics, or another relevant science/technology discipline.
- Comfortable handling multiple priorities and working in a fast-moving, agile environment.
- Able to explain technical and business topics clearly to different audiences, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong analytical thinking and confidence in making decisions based on data.
- Flexible, quick to adapt, open-minded, and eager to learn.
- Regular user of AI tools.
- Genuinely interested in user experience and business outcomes for Shopee and the wider eCommerce ecosystem.
- Full-time interns are preferred.
