Product Management Specialist

About the Role

Join ABB and contribute to the mission of supporting leaner and cleaner industrial operations globally. As a Product Management Specialist reporting to the Product Line Manager, you’ll assist in optimizing the product portfolio and maximizing return on investment within our Motion business segment focused on high power solutions in Vadodara, India.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and implement growth and profitability strategies tailored to the product line and regional market.
• Set targets and oversee product cost control and performance monitoring in terms of volume and profitability.
• Manage the complete lifecycle of products including new launches, upgrades, and phase-outs, coordinating the product roadmap accordingly.
• Conduct market analysis to support marketing plan development and strategic pricing decisions across product lines.
• Provide technical and commercial assistance to sales teams for critical or specialized negotiations.
• Collaborate closely with R&D, supply chain, and other departments to assess feasibility of product projects and identify opportunities for profitability and growth.
• Work with marketing and sales units to develop marketing plans that cover communication, training, and sales initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills

• Solid understanding of motors and generators technology.
• Strong communication abilities combined with expertise in competition analysis, process improvement, and product positioning.
• Minimum 5 to 8 years of professional experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Highly motivated with a proactive approach to supporting organizational goals.
• Experience with Java programming language is a plus.
