Product Designer

About the Position

The Aave Companies, leading innovators in the Web3 space, foster a collaborative and diverse environment passionate about building exceptional products. They are actively seeking a skilled Product Designer to contribute to the design and development of various Web3 products. This role involves end-to-end design processes, from idea generation to implementation, alongside a team of 8-9 designers. Reporting to the Head of Design, the candidate will play a key role in shaping industry-leading Web3 applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage regularly with product stakeholders to outline requirements and prioritize product features effectively.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and marketing teams to design optimal user experiences.
• Convey design concepts through task flows, user journeys, and wireframes at varying fidelity levels.
• Present and justify design choices and major milestones to relevant teams.
• Partner with development teams to execute top design solutions considering technical limitations.
• Ensure consistency and quality by adhering to visual design standards across multiple platforms.
• Coordinate with Development and QA teams to guarantee proper implementation of designs.
• Perform user research, including interviews and usability testing, to collect and analyze user feedback.
• Lead ideation workshops to explore new product concepts.
• Develop fast, iterative wireframes to prototype ideas and enhancements.
• Review and improve user experience designs of existing products and prototypes.
• Stay informed on the latest trends in interaction design and technology.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Strong proficiency in User Experience (UX) methodologies and principles.
• Expertise in Interaction and User Interface Design (UI).
• Exceptional Visual Design capabilities; understanding front-end development is advantageous.
• Experience applying digital platform usability principles, supported by a portfolio demonstrating skills.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate design rationales effectively.
• Strong organizational abilities and time management.
• Meticulous attention to detail and awareness of current design trends.
• Experience working within Agile frameworks, preferably SCRUM, is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Statistics, Psychology, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 6 years’ experience in digital product design.
• Genuine enthusiasm for crypto, decentralization, and foundational knowledge of crypto products like DeFi and staking.
• A collaborative and positive attitude essential for team dynamics.
