Role Overview
The selected candidate will participate in developing policies aimed at positioning Singapore as a leader in combating scams and enhancing defensive measures across all infocomm and internet communication channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with government bodies and industry partners to ensure the successful deployment of measures countering scam calls and messages.
- Support strategic initiatives engaging telecommunications regulators and foster international partnerships to tackle scam sources globally.
- Conduct continuous monitoring of advancements in anti-scam and network defense technologies, evaluating their implications on IMDA's regulatory framework and market policies.
- Serve as an advisory resource to internal IMDA units on existing policy frameworks and emerging policy challenges within the telecommunications and media sectors related to scams.
- Coordinate and provide secretariat functions for workgroups and forums focused on scam prevention and network security.
Desired Profile
- Educational background in Computer Science, Social Sciences, Mass Communications, or Legal Studies.
- Minimum of two years' relevant experience in operations policy or technology policy roles within either public or private sectors, with job grade reflecting experience level.
- Keen interest in scam prevention and comprehensive understanding of telecommunications operators and internet service providers' operations.
- Proficient analytical capabilities, strong interpersonal communication, and excellent writing skills.
- Experience in Public Policy formulation, horizon scanning, or strategic futures analysis is a plus.
