Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Plumbing Design Engineer to develop detailed technical drawings, calculations, and specifications for plumbing systems. The role involves utilizing computer-assisted design software to ensure compliance with applicable standards, codes, and client needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Create comprehensive technical construction drawings and perform engineering calculations for plumbing systems.
- Use engineering or design software to carry out engineering tasks effectively.
- Engage with engineers, clients, and other stakeholders to discuss engineering projects and products.
- Oversee or coordinate activities related to manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, and testing to ensure adherence to specifications and codes.
- Design and maintain plumbing-related instruments, equipment, and components for commercial, industrial, and multi-family domestic applications.
- Develop purchase specifications for materials and equipment related to plumbing projects.
- Conduct detailed calculations to define standards for manufacturing, construction, or installation processes.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in plumbing design.
- Proficiency in Revit MEP and AutoCAD software essential.
- Experience working with building services projects is mandatory.
Skills & Knowledge Requirements
- Strong knowledge of plumbing design principles and relevant codes such as IPC and UPC.
- Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) coordination and BIM modeling.
- Exposure to US-based projects is advantageous.
