Description de l'emploi
Role overview
Triomics is looking for its first dedicated People Operations hire to shape the full employee experience from day one. This is a hands-on build position focused on creating systems rather than simply maintaining existing ones. You will be responsible for making onboarding seamless, managing equipment and benefits, supporting the office, and helping keep recruiting operations running smoothly as the team grows.
In this role, you will be the day-to-day person who keeps internal operations moving. That means ensuring every new joiner receives a laptop, access, and a structured first week so they can become productive quickly.
The ideal candidate has previously worked as an executive assistant, office manager, or people/recruiting operations professional at a Series A or Series B startup. You should be comfortable with technology and basic IT tasks, enjoy building processes from the ground up, work quickly, and bring an AI-native approach to how you get things done. You should also care deeply about how every interaction feels for candidates and new hires.
Key responsibilities
- Take ownership of full-cycle recruiting support for priority openings.
- Design and manage the onboarding experience, including the first-week schedule, paperwork, account setup, equipment delivery, and team introductions so new hires are ready to contribute on day one.
- Handle equipment procurement and light IT administration, including laptop provisioning, account setup, access management, and basic troubleshooting before issues escalate to engineering.
- Manage benefits administration and routine people-related questions while keeping records accurate and organized.
- Coordinate recruiting operations in Ashby, including interview scheduling, candidate communication, and pipeline movement so the process stays efficient and candidates remain informed.
- Run the New York office, organize team events and offsites, and support conference planning and attendance when needed.
- Provide executive assistance to leadership whenever required.
- Partner strategically with leadership to improve people operations as the company scales.
First 90 days success indicators
- Within the first 30 days, you should understand the team, tools, and operational gaps, with laptops and accounts provisioned proactively, onboarding tracked through a checklist you created, and benefits questions answered the same day.
- By day 60, onboarding should consistently deliver a strong first-week experience, interview scheduling in Ashby should be fully managed by you, candidate follow-up should be fast, and the office should function without leadership needing to supervise it closely.
- By day 90, you should be owning people operations end to end, with systems that continue working independently of your presence and visible improvements that make each new hire experience better and faster than the last.
Ideal background
You are likely a strong fit if you have worked in one or more of these environments or functions and enjoy building from scratch in a fast-moving startup setting.
- Prior experience as an executive assistant, office manager, or people/recruiting operations professional at a Series A or Series B startup.
- Hands-on comfort with technology and low-level IT tasks such as laptop setup, account management, access provisioning, and basic troubleshooting.
- A highly organized, self-directed working style with the ability to create systems independently and run them with minimal oversight.
- Excellent written communication and a strong sense of how interactions should feel to new hires and candidates.
- Based in New York City and able to work from the office regularly.
- Motivated by building from zero and comfortable working in an AI-native style.
Preferred experience
- Experience using Ashby for recruiting coordination.
- Background in planning marketing conferences and events.
- Exposure to benefits administration through Gusto.
- Experience in a fast-scaling startup with multiple parallel workstreams.
- Experience in healthcare or AI startups.
Eligibility
This role is intended for candidates already based in New York City who can be present in the office on a regular basis. Candidates should also have prior startup experience in EA, office management, or people/recruiting operations, and be comfortable stepping into a build-from-scratch role.
Additional notes
This is described as the company’s first dedicated People Operations hire, so the role includes creating processes, not just supporting them. The team expects the person in this seat to move quickly, think proactively, and continuously improve the experience for both employees and candidates. The company values an AI-native way of working and a high standard for every touchpoint.
