Position Overview
The Operations Manager / Operations Director / Head of Operations role focuses on leading and managing business workflows to ensure effective execution, robust performance, and sustained organizational growth. This role involves crafting operational strategies, refining workflows, managing teams, monitoring performance, and spearheading continuous development initiatives to meet company goals.
Core Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day business operations ensuring processes run seamlessly
- Design and apply operational strategies in line with business objectives
- Supervise performance metrics across various departments
- Enhance productivity, efficiency, and service standards
- Set operational benchmarks, procedures, and best practices
- Develop both short-term and long-term operational plans aligned with company strategy
- Identify growth prospects and areas for operational enhancements
- Support projects related to organizational transformation and business expansion
- Translate business strategies into implementable operational tasks
- Analyze workflows to spot inefficiencies and implement improvements
- Lead digital transformation and automation efforts
- Create and maintain standardized operating procedures (SOPs)
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare performance reports
- Manage operational risks and devise mitigation strategies
- Oversee operational budgets, controlling costs and ensuring efficient resource use
- Lead, mentor, and develop operations teams fostering a culture of accountability and excellence
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including finance, HR, technology, sales, and customer service
- Maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships

Educational & Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Management, Business Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Finance, or related discipline
- Master's degree (MBA or related fields) preferred for senior leadership roles
- Experience in operations management, business operations, process improvement, strategic planning, team leadership, performance management, and project management
Technical and Professional Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365), CRM platforms, business reporting, and process management tools
- Experience using project and collaboration software like Microsoft Teams, Jira, Asana, Trello, Microsoft Project, and Smartsheet
- Preferred certifications include PMP, Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, Certified Manager (CM), PRINCE2 Practitioner, Operations Management Certification, Business Process Management Certification, and an MBA for director-level roles
