Officer – Placements & Career Services

Role Overview

Lovely Professional University is looking for a proactive and industry-focused professional to join its Training, Placement & Career Services function at the Jalandhar campus. The position is suited to someone who has worked across campus hiring, employer partnerships, internship coordination, and student career development. The selected candidate will help improve placement results by working closely with companies, academic teams, and students.

Primary Responsibilities

• Build and nurture strong connections with recruiters, HR teams, and industry decision-makers.
• Create opportunities for student placements and internships across varied academic areas.
• Run the full campus hiring cycle, including pre-placement talks, aptitude assessments, group discussions, interviews, and offer communication.
• Coordinate with companies for job openings, internship roles, and campus engagement activities.
• Partner with academic schools to understand placement needs and strengthen student preparedness.
• Plan and deliver career-readiness initiatives such as employability workshops, resume support, mock interviews, and industry engagement sessions.
• Track placement goals, manage recruitment records, and prepare MIS and other regular reports.
• Arrange employer campus visits and ensure smooth execution of recruitment drives.
• Develop long-term corporate relationships that support and expand the university’s placement network.
• Work with internal teams to refine placement approaches and improve student outcomes.
• Guide students through the placement journey while maintaining a professional and positive candidate experience.
• Monitor hiring trends in the market and identify new employment avenues.

Eligibility Criteria

The role is open to professionals with 2–8 years of relevant experience in Training & Placement, campus recruitment, corporate relations, or career services. A master’s degree is preferred, especially an MBA/PGDM or an equivalent qualification.
