About the Role
The Non-Gaming Surveillance Operator at River Cree Resort & Casino plays a vital role in maintaining a secure environment for both guests and staff across the property. Reporting directly to the Surveillance Manager, the focus is on monitoring non-gaming areas to identify potential risks or unsafe activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Constantly observe surveillance footage of non-gaming sections of the resort to detect suspicious or unlawful activity.
- Act as the primary contact for Resort Security dispatch via radio and telephone communication.
- Address and respond promptly to employee reports concerning difficult or aggressive visitors on the casino floor.
- Coordinate with Emergency Services for prompt intervention when necessary.
- Document incidents thoroughly in line with company protocols.
- Maintain precise records and logs using the Property Central Reporting System.
- Uphold exceptional standards of integrity, professionalism, and courtesy towards patrons, colleagues, and regulatory personnel.
- Provide evidence when legal proceedings emerge involving patrons or employees.
- Adhere to workplace health and safety procedures to protect oneself and coworkers.
- Perform additional assigned duties as required.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proficient reading, writing, and comprehension skills in English.
- Manual dexterity and comfort handling electronic surveillance devices like mouse or joystick.
- Ability to remain seated for long periods while maintaining focus.
- Effective radio communication skills.
- Strong command of MS Office applications.
- Capability to obtain the Alberta Gaming, Liquor & Cannabis Commission (AGLC) License.
Working Conditions
The position requires flexible shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to cover continuous operation.
