NC OCS System Expert

About the Role

We are looking for a knowledgeable professional to join Ericsson's Enterprise Applications team as an L2 CIAM Specialist. This position involves supporting and managing crucial enterprise systems within a 24/7 production environment. The primary focus is maintaining high availability, optimal performance, and SLA adherence for complex application stacks, especially those involving CIAM platforms in a live environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver Level 2 support for critical systems and functions.
• Continuously monitor production systems ensuring their stability and performance.
• Address issues flagged by Level 1 or monitoring teams, and collaborate with Level 3 or vendors to restore any disrupted services.
• Resolve customer trouble tickets promptly and handle daily operational challenges.
• Work with IT and network teams to troubleshoot operational or functional problems.
• Respond to various teams’ ad hoc requests efficiently.
• Analyze system logs, proactively resolve issues, escalate when needed, and propose alternative technical solutions.
• Deploy change requests in live production environments ensuring minimal disruption and sustained system integrity.
• Adhere strictly to ITIL procedures related to incident, problem, and change management.
• Ensure compliance with service level agreements regarding applications and support tickets.
• Continuously upgrade skills through learning new solution areas and obtaining relevant certifications.
• Provide comprehensive feedback on any gaps in current solutions and collaborate with design teams, Level 3 engineers, and vendors to implement improvements.
• Engage actively in root cause analysis sessions and contribute to ongoing improvement efforts.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or an equivalent field.
• 5 to 15 years of relevant professional experience.
• Practical experience configuring and operating ForgeRock CIAM platforms.
• Experience managing application stacks deployed in containerized environments using Red Hat OpenShift.
• Proficiency in analyzing logs with tools such as Splunk or ELK.
• Strong command of SQL and databases including PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Expertise in administering Oracle WebLogic Server and Oracle WebCenter Sites.
• Hands-on familiarity with SSO, LDAP, JBoss, Tomcat, Apache, IIS, MFA, OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and SAML protocols.
• Skillful scripting abilities in Shell and Python.
• Good communication capacity and ability to manage time effectively.
• Capability to work independently and collaboratively with others.
• Willingness and flexibility to work in a 24/7 operational setting.

Preferred Skills and Knowledge

• Basic knowledge of telecommunications domain and integrated systems, including billing, EAI/messaging, and payment gateways.
• Understanding of web services such as SOAP and REST.
• Familiarity with web application deployment and maintenance using established design patterns.
• Experience with application monitoring tools like AppDynamics.
• Strong proficiency with Linux command-line interface.
• Background in web application development and support.
• Working experience with monitoring and metrics tools including Splunk, Dynatrace, and Grafana.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Git.
• Ability to maintain composure and deliver results under pressure in critical production environments.
