About the Role
This part-time remote opportunity is for an experienced writer and communications professional who can shape polished, audience-ready content across digital, marketing, training, and corporate channels. The position is best suited to someone who can take complex subject matter and turn it into clear, engaging, and well-structured messaging.
Working Arrangement
The role is remote and aligned to Eastern and Central time zones. It is scheduled for 20 to 25 hours per week and is project-based with a duration of 5+ months.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and refine content for websites, email campaigns, marketing materials, presentations, and internal communication pieces.
- Keep tone, voice, and messaging consistent across all deliverables.
- Tailor copy for different audiences, regions, and localized versions.
- Review and proofread content to ensure it is accurate, compliant, and high quality.
- Work with cross-functional partners while managing several assignments at the same time.
- Organize content files, maintain version tracking, and keep project documentation up to date.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, English, or a related discipline, along with more than 5 years of experience in professional writing, editing, or communications. A strong portfolio is expected, especially one that demonstrates work in marketing, digital, editorial, or corporate communications. Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading ability is essential, as is hands-on experience with digital content, email communication, and brand messaging. Strong organization and project management skills are also required.
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to localization or multilingual content workflows.
- Familiarity with WCAG and accessibility expectations.
- Understanding of SEO and effective content practices.
