About the Role
Our client in Qatar is seeking an experienced LNG maritime professional to join their LNG Shipping Assurance team. The primary responsibility involves ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient LNG transportation worldwide through marine assurance, vessel vetting, and operational oversight of a global LNG fleet.
Key Duties
- Conduct LNG vessel vetting and assurance activities
- Review and assess SIRE reports and ensure follow-up on close-out actions
- Perform operational inspections and attend ship visits
- Oversee bunker vessel quality assurance tasks
- Carry out marine risk assessments and due diligence examinations
- Provide marine technical support to shipping operations
Candidate Profile
- Hold a Class 1 Certificate of Competency such as Master Mariner or Chief Engineer, or possess an equivalent relevant degree
- Have a minimum of 8 years of experience in the marine industry
- Possess expertise in LNG shipping, marine assurance, or vetting procedures
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of SIRE, Port State Control (PSC), and other marine regulatory requirements
- Exhibit excellent stakeholder engagement and communication abilities
