Role overview
As an Investment & Transaction Associate, you will assist the investment team across active deals and the wider pipeline. The position offers close collaboration with partners, external advisors, lenders, and target businesses, giving you direct exposure to entrepreneurial decision-making and end-to-end ownership across the deal cycle. The work combines analysis, transaction coordination, and strong organizational responsibility.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee, structure, and follow up on live deal processes and pipeline activity.
- Prepare, coordinate, and support due diligence workstreams.
- Carry out analysis of markets, competitors, and individual businesses.
- Develop decision papers, presentations, and other transaction documents.
- Set up and manage virtual data rooms and ensure information is shared appropriately.
- Liaise with target companies, advisors, financing partners, and other external parties, including attendance at negotiation discussions.
Candidate profile
- Background in corporate finance, M&A, private equity, or a related discipline.
- Comfort working in a highly structured, self-directed, and dependable manner.
- Strong analytical ability and a solid grasp of business fundamentals.
- Experience handling complex projects, processes, or transactions.
- Very good planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage several priorities at once.
- Excellent communication skills and a polished, professional presence with internal and external stakeholders.
- Entrepreneurial thinking, initiative, and a strong focus on outcomes.
- Fluency in both German and English.
