Description de l'emploi

About Us

Breakthru offers the opportunity to advance your career while actively assisting individuals to find fulfilling employment. Unlike desk-based roles, you will engage directly within the community alongside clients, making a tangible difference. Operating under the Royal Rehab Group umbrella, a respected Australian not-for-profit with over 125 years of history in disability and rehabilitation services, Breakthru provides a stable environment backed by strong resources and support for your professional growth.

Role Overview

Breakthru, selected by the Department of Social Services, is delivering the new Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) initiative across New South Wales and Queensland. This growth phase means more support for individuals seeking meaningful employment and the expansion of our team to facilitate this mission.

As a Career Coach, your primary responsibility will be to assist people with disabilities, injuries, or health conditions to prepare for and pursue successful career paths. Working within a collaborative team, you will support clients throughout their job readiness journey—from initial contact to job searches and interview preparation—equipping them with confidence and skills to enter the workforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with clients to strategize their future career moves, supporting their job search efforts.
  • Develop a deep understanding of each client's ambitions, abilities, and support requirements through strong, trust-based relationships.
  • Provide personalized coaching and maintain regular engagement to keep clients motivated and on track.
  • Identify and connect participants to skill development activities, practical experience, and group programs.
  • Collaborate with employers and community organizations to create employment and training opportunities.
  • Achieve or surpass established internal and external performance standards.
  • Advocate for Breakthru’s principles including inclusion, empowerment, and person-centred practice.

Candidate Profile

You bring empathy, enthusiasm, and a sincere desire to support others. With experience or a strong interest in employment services, you excel at building trust and guiding clients towards sustainable and meaningful employment outcomes. You are organized, focused on results, and adaptable to a dynamic environment prioritizing people.

Close engagement with clients allows you to appreciate their unique strengths and challenges, enabling effective coaching to boost their confidence. You also enjoy collaborating with employers, understanding business requirements to prepare suitable candidates. Your excellent relationship management skills facilitate connections between clients and employers effectively.

You are proactive, professional, and attentive to detail, committed to thorough record keeping and high service standards. You demonstrate integrity, empathy, and a dedication to inclusive, client-centred support.
