Job Overview

This HR Business Partner role involves providing HR generalist support for a large group of hourly workers and business leaders, specializing in leadership development, employee experience, and driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Enhance site performance by detecting systemic issues, resolving root causes, and making well-informed decisions aligned with policy while minimizing risks and ensuring compliance with evolving regulations.
• Leverage data analytics to spot trends, foresee challenges, and proactively implement solutions that improve employee experience and business results at the site level.
• Implement and oversee employee engagement programs and recognition initiatives, maintaining a visible presence on the work floor to collect insights and collaborate with leaders to counteract disengagement.
• Provide coaching to business leaders on effective people management including performance feedback, team development, and handling complex employee relations, supporting inclusive and high-performing teams.
• Collaborate with leadership to guarantee equitable talent management practices in hiring, development, and promotion decisions while championing initiatives that foster an inclusive workplace.
• Promote and ensure effective utilization of HR technology, AI tools, and self-service platforms, aiming to enhance service delivery, user experience, and process efficiency.

Daily Work

Your typical day combines strategic planning and data-driven decisions, focusing on organizational effectiveness and employee engagement. You will use advanced analytics and AI-based tools to identify trends and anticipate needs, coaching leadership on workforce management and developing strategies that support operational goals and team productivity. Building strong collaborations across organizational layers and leading change with sound judgment are essential to succeed.

Team Background

The Sub-Same Day Fulfillment Centers (SSD-FC) play a vital role in fulfilling Amazon’s Prime same-day delivery promise across North America, serving over 80% of Prime customer demands. The PXT team supports this effort by delivering HR excellence and on-site tactical leadership, contributing to a forward-thinking, socially responsible workplace.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, or 2+ years of Amazon front-line experience
• Experience with employee-focused HR processes such as onboarding, benefits administration, investigations, training, or talent management
• At least 2 years of human resources experience or equivalent roles in fields like operations, retail, distribution, healthcare, hospitality, or manufacturing

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree or MBA preferred
• Background in operational environments such as manufacturing or distribution
• Capability to train and support users on HR technologies, increasing adoption and improving user experiences
• Strong partnership-building skills with business leaders
• Experience managing employee relations and conducting workplace investigations
• Excellent coaching and influencing skills for guiding leaders through complex scenarios
• Proven track record in advancing employee engagement and development initiatives with tangible impacts on retention or satisfaction

Compensation includes base salary between $67,600 and $118,400 annually, sign-on payments, restricted stock units, comprehensive health benefits, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
