Key Responsibilities

  • Offer expert advice to managers and HR team members on employee relations matters, legal employment requirements, workplace policies, and recommended practices.
  • Lead and manage challenging employee relations cases, including investigations into grievances, disciplinary actions, harassment, discrimination, ethical concerns, retaliation, and other sensitive workplace topics.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners, legal teams, Centres of Excellence, employee representative groups, and external parties to resolve cases and reduce organisational risk.
  • Guide and support HR colleagues by building their capacity and maintaining a consistent, high-quality employee relations service.
  • Develop and deliver training and orientation sessions for managers and HR teams focused on employee relations and employment law.
  • Contribute to the formulation and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and ongoing improvement projects.
  • Oversee partnerships with external vendors and regulatory authorities as necessary, ensuring all employment legislation compliance.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Human Resources with at least 5 years concentrated in Employee Relations.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Irish employment law; experience with UK and broader European employment regulations is highly advantageous.
  • Track record of managing complicated employee relations situations and conducting workplace investigations.
  • Sound judgement skills with the capacity to evaluate risks and offer balanced, practical recommendations.
  • Proven ability to coach managers and enhance HR competencies through training and mentoring.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and capability to influence stakeholders at all organisational levels.
  • Experience working in a large-scale, matrixed, or multinational environment.
  • Possession of a degree or equivalent qualification along with certification in Irish Employment Law and an advanced HR qualification.

  • Location: Dublin 15 (Hybrid work model)
