Payroll Lead / Manager

About the Role

We are partnering with a leading international company looking for a Payroll Lead to take charge of payroll operations in Ireland and contribute to shaping payroll processes internationally. This position suits an individual passionate about managing teams, streamlining workflows, and influencing payroll delivery within a global business context.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the payroll function for Ireland.
• Provide guidance and direction to a small team handling payroll tasks.
• Manage and maintain strong partnerships with outsourced payroll service providers.
• Initiate and implement payroll process redesigns, automation efforts, and continuous enhancements.
• Collaborate closely with HR, Finance, and senior business stakeholders.
• Ensure payroll governance compliance, maintain controls, and support international payroll expansion.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Extensive payroll experience across multiple countries.
• Proven leadership or management experience within payroll functions.
• Track record in managing external payroll providers effectively.
• Demonstrated success in payroll process improvement or transformation projects.
• Excellent skills in managing relationships with various stakeholders.
• Solid expertise in Irish payroll regulations with added experience in UK and other international payrolls considered valuable.
