Role overview
This opportunity is for a Head of People in Ireland, presented on behalf of a partner company that will handle applications and the hiring process. The role sits inside a fast-growing, globally distributed technology business and focuses on shaping the people strategy needed to support continued expansion.
You will lead the development of a strong recruiting engine while also strengthening people operations, talent development, performance management, and organizational design. Acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, you will help define how the company hires, develops, and retains top talent in a highly competitive market. This is a practical leadership role that blends strategy with day-to-day execution, and it requires someone who can move comfortably between high-level planning and operational delivery.

Accountabilities
- Own and expand the full People function, including recruiting and people operations, across a distributed global organization.
- Create and implement a recruiting approach that keeps access to excellent talent strong while maintaining a high standard of hire quality.
- Work with executive leaders on workforce planning, organizational structure, compensation planning, and headcount decisions.
- Establish and improve systems for performance management, leadership growth, and career path progression.
- Strengthen hiring operations, improve the candidate journey, and increase recruiter effectiveness through scalable processes and tools.
- Build clear metrics and reporting that improve visibility into hiring performance and the overall health of the organization.
- Promote automation and AI-supported workflows within recruiting and people operations.
- Help sustain company culture and ensure it stays aligned with values and operating principles during rapid growth.
- Partner closely with Finance and leadership on compensation planning and broader organizational investments.
- Coach and grow the People team while encouraging accountability, ownership, and ongoing improvement.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in people leadership, recruiting, talent acquisition, or people operations within high-growth technology companies.
- Demonstrated success in building and scaling recruiting functions in fast-paced, talent-rich environments.
- Strong experience partnering with executive leadership on org design, workforce planning, and talent strategy.
- Background in leading and developing high-performing People or Recruiting teams.
- Solid understanding of modern recruiting systems, talent operations, and performance management frameworks.
- Strong analytical ability with a habit of using data to guide decisions and improve processes.
- Excellent communication skills, stakeholder management ability, and executive influence.
- Hands-on leadership style with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.
- Experience in distributed or remote-first organizations.
- Strong interest in AI-enabled tools and workflows for recruiting and people operations transformation.
- Bonus exposure to SaaS, developer tools, fintech, or other rapidly scaling technology environments.
