About the Role
Our client, a manufacturer specializing in food service packaging, seeks a dedicated Graphic Designer for a temporary contract role based in Atlanta. This position commences in August and extends through December, requiring full-time on-site presence five days per week. Candidates with prior experience in food packaging design will find an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the Sales Sketch Request workflow, from initial concept to final delivery, ensuring timely, accurate, and quality artwork output.
- Design customized packaging by integrating customer logos, brand guidelines, and vector graphics onto various packaging types such as paper cups, foam cups, bowls, lids, and containers.
- Create high-quality digital renderings, product mockups, and visual ideas that aid customer presentations, business development, and product launches.
- Produce production-ready artwork adhering to manufacturing standards while maintaining brand consistency.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Service, and customers to define artwork needs, implement feedback, and secure approvals.
- Confirm that all artwork meets commercial print production standards including sizing, color management, bleeds, resolution, and file integrity.
- Design and develop diverse marketing materials like catalogs, brochures, sell sheets, presentations, advertisements, trade show graphics, promotional products, email campaigns, and sales support collateral.
- Generate digital creative assets for websites, email marketing, social media, digital ads, and other online platforms.
- Contribute to the ongoing evolution of brand identity across multiple brands ensuring visual consistency.
- Manage carton artwork development in collaboration with Packaging, Purchasing, Operations, and external vendors.
- Prepare print-ready files using industry-standard best practices.
- Maintain organized repositories of artwork, templates, logos, and digital assets; manage version control and archiving of completed projects.
- Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Manufacturing departments to support presentations, new product launches, campaign development, and production optimization.
- Handle multiple design projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines, and communicate proactively with stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.
- Suggest enhancements for creative processes, artwork management, and project workflows.
- Keep abreast of evolving design trends, printing technology, Adobe Creative Cloud features, and packaging innovations to maintain cutting-edge creative output.
Qualifications
- A solid foundation in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Fine Arts, or related fields, or equivalent professional experience.
- Between 3 to 5 years of industry experience in professional graphic design roles.
- Expert-level skills with Adobe Creative Cloud tools, specifically Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
