Foodservice Worker

About the Role

We are inviting dedicated individuals to join us as Foodservice Workers, where you can contribute meaningfully by preparing and serving meals daily in a welcoming and hygienic school setting. This position is suited for committed team-oriented people who relish supporting their communities through dependable service.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals in accordance with established recipes, production guidelines, and safety protocols.
• Ensure the kitchen and serving areas remain clean and safe at all times.
• Stock and maintain service stations including serving lines, salad bars, and milk coolers.
• Adhere to proper food storage, rotation, and sanitation procedures.
• Provide courteous meal service to students, staff, and visitors.
• Help with storing incoming deliveries and manage inventory organization.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and trash disposal.
• Comply with health regulations mandated at local, state, federal, and company levels.
• Support team members by assisting or covering shifts when necessary.
• Complete and submit required reports punctually.
• Carry out any other tasks that contribute to the kitchen team's effectiveness and the school meal program's success.

Candidate Requirements

• Prior experience in food service or cleaning is preferred but not mandatory.
• Demonstrates a strong work ethic and works collaboratively with others.
• Comfortable performing repetitive tasks and following a consistent routine.
• Basic math proficiency and familiarity with computer usage.
• Must successfully complete background and fingerprint screenings.
• Possess reliable transportation to and from work.
• Enjoy being part of a school environment and working around children.
• Always professional, respectful, and inclusive towards coworkers and customers.

Physical and Work Conditions

• Capable of standing throughout the entire shift and lifting weights up to 50 pounds on occasion.
• Regularly engage in bending, reaching, walking, and manual tasks.
• Work in a moderately noisy kitchen environment that requires frequent movement.
• Position requires a full-time schedule from Monday to Friday, with occasional extended weeks.
• Availability for participation in company-related events or meetings as needed.
