Overview
This role requires overseeing food service operations at a physical restaurant location, ensuring quality and efficiency through effective staff supervision and operational management.
Languages
Proficiency in English is required.
Education
- Completion of secondary (high) school or an equivalent qualification or experience.
Experience
One to less than two years of relevant work experience is needed.
Work Setting
- On-site work at the restaurant; remote work is not an option.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement methods to meet work schedules efficiently.
- Oversee and coordinate the activities of staff responsible for preparing and portioning food.
- Provide training to staff on their duties, sanitation standards, and safety protocols.
- Estimate ingredients and supplies needed for meal preparation accurately.
- Ensure that all food and service meet established quality control standards.
- Prepare budgets and cost estimates related to food service operations.
- Handle and resolve customer complaints or concerns professionally.
- Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
- Prepare and submit required reports timely.
- Supervise and verify the correct assembly of food trays.
- Establish and manage work schedules for team members.
Supervision
- Responsible for supervising food service counter attendants and food preparers.
Work Conditions and Physical Requirements
- Fast-paced work environment requiring the ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Combination of sitting, standing, and walking; prolonged standing periods.
- Physical tasks including bending, crouching, kneeling, and walking.
- Overall physically demanding job.
