About the Role
Join a growing distribution company as a Financial Controller where you'll play a key leadership role in shaping the financial future of the organisation. This role entails overseeing all aspects of financial planning, commercial analysis, and operational efficiency while leading a team of finance professionals. Key Responsibilities
- Manage financial planning and monitor business performance by handling budgeting, forecasting, long-term planning, cash flow forecasting, and monthly reporting.
- Take ownership of commercial finance activities including margin analysis, customer and product profitability evaluations, and delivering business insights.
- Identify and implement opportunities to enhance profitability and operational efficiencies, focusing on pricing strategies, logistics, warehousing, distribution expenses, and overall financial performance.
- Collaborate with operational and executive leadership to provide strategic commercial insights that support decision-making and positively impact business results.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a small team within the finance function to build a strong and effective unit.
Candidate Requirements
- Professional accounting qualifications such as CA, CPA, CIMA, or ACCA.
- Demonstrated experience in business partnering with operational teams.
- Strong background in commercial and margin analysis, pricing, operations management, warehousing, and distribution cost management.
- Commercially focused leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders, challenge existing viewpoints, and drive better business outcomes.
- Highly analytical with a proactive and hands-on approach, strong expertise in ERP systems, financial reporting, modeling, and continuous process improvement.
Compensation and Benefits
