Role Overview
The Experienced Chef De Partie will be based full time onsite in Carlow, delivering excellent culinary output across Dinn Rí Group’s dining venues. Key duties include preparing and cooking menu items to exact standards, managing a designated kitchen section independently, maintaining efficiency, and ensuring attractive food presentation. Additional responsibilities are assisting menu implementation, offering specials ideas, overseeing stock levels, helping with ordering and waste management, adhering strictly to food safety and hygiene standards, mentoring junior kitchen staff, and working closely with Head and Sous Chefs to facilitate smooth operations, especially during high-demand periods.
Candidate Profile and Qualifications
- Proven experience working in a high-paced commercial kitchen, ideally at Chef De Partie level or similar, with capability to lead a kitchen section independently.
- Expertise in food preparation, culinary techniques, and plating with consistent quality and attention to detail.
- Thorough understanding of food safety practices, HACCP standards, and kitchen hygiene regulations with dedication to compliance.
- Ability to handle pressure effectively, prioritize tasks during peak times, and maintain professionalism.
- Team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills and the ability to coach and support less experienced colleagues.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and public holidays typical of the hospitality sector.
- Possession of relevant culinary qualifications or formal chef training is preferred; experience in hotels, restaurants, or gastro pubs is advantageous.
- A genuine passion for food, enthusiasm for menu innovation, and motivation to thrive within a dynamic, guest-centric hospitality team.
