International A-Level Information Technology Examiner

Role Overview

As an International A-Level Information Technology Examiner, you will evaluate candidates' responses based on a predefined marking scheme while complying with all examination guidelines and recognition criteria. Most marking tasks are conducted digitally through the ePEN system, which allows you to work remotely; however, some subjects may require traditional paper-based marking.

Key Responsibilities

• Consistently and accurately assess exam scripts to maintain overall marking standards.
• Submit sample assessments to your Team Leader within specified deadlines.
• Adhere strictly to all marking milestones and schedules.
• Complete all required administrative duties as instructed.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of full-time teaching experience related to the qualification and subject area, accompanied by a degree or equivalent qualification.
• Alternatively, for lecturers: possession of a degree or equivalent along with at least one year of undergraduate teaching experience within the last three years.

Essential Competencies

• Ability to maintain composure and high performance under pressure.
• Strong aptitude for meeting deadlines efficiently.
• Thorough subject knowledge to effectively implement the marking scheme.

Additional Details

• Marking assignments take place from May through July.
• Training sessions for examiners occur between May and June.
