Role Overview
Joining a growing team in a nationally respected employment practice located in Newcastle upon Tyne, this role involves delivering high-level legal advice on employment issues to a broad and varied client portfolio. You will foster robust client partnerships and significantly contribute to business growth while mentoring junior legal staff.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic, commercially savvy employment law advice to diverse clients including company owners, managers, HR personnel, in-house counsel, and senior executives.
- Manage a comprehensive array of employment concerns such as disciplinary actions, grievances, dismissals, and redundancies.
- Offer counsel on intricate Tribunal cases encompassing whistleblowing and discrimination claims.
- Participate in corporate transactions addressing TUPE regulations and organizational restructures.
- Prepare and evaluate employment contracts, policies, and related legal documents.
- Advise clients on investigations and broader employee relations topics.
- Establish and nurture enduring client relationships.
- Engage collaboratively with colleagues and other key stakeholders firm-wide.
- Lead and mentor junior lawyers while actively supporting business development initiatives.
Candidate Profile
- Qualified solicitor with at least 8 years of post-qualification experience specializing in employment law.
- Proficient managing both contentious and non-contentious employment issues with strong technical knowledge, especially in Tribunal proceedings.
- Experienced advising on TUPE, restructurings, redundancies, and complex employee relations matters.
- Commercially astute mindset capable of delivering clear and practical advice.
- Skilled in maintaining senior client connections and overseeing junior legal staff.
- Motivated to contribute towards business expansion and practice development.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary ranging from £80,000 to £90,000.
