Role Overview

A major food manufacturing company is looking to hire a Director of Operations to join its senior leadership team. This position demands an analytically strong leader responsible for overseeing daily operations at a plant with over 1500 employees. The role encompasses budget management, ensuring compliance with operational and safety standards, and handling administrative duties.

Key Duties

• Oversee all functions of a large food production facility employing more than 1500 staff.
• Provide guidance, support, and development to the management team.
• Ensure full adherence to safety protocols as well as food quality and safety standards.
• Evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of all operational and management processes including budget oversight.
• Contribute to strategic planning and growth initiatives as part of the executive leadership.
• Lead and facilitate cross-departmental projects and initiatives.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of a bachelor's degree; advanced degrees such as a master's or MBA are preferred.
• At least 15 years of experience in food manufacturing plant leadership, including a minimum of 2 years as a plant manager or director.
• Experience managing large-scale manufacturing operations with over 1000 personnel.
• Familiarity with USDA regulations, especially within meat or frozen food sectors.
• Proficiency in strategic planning and proven success in fostering productive organizational cultures.
• Commitment to continuous process improvement.
• Spanish language skills are advantageous.
