Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Digital Business Relationship Manager to join a prominent organization on an initial three-month contract at the Richmond location. This role serves as a critical liaison between executive leadership and IT & Digital Services, playing a key part in driving strategic digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and sustain multi-year digital investment plans that align with organizational goals and risk tolerance.
- Collaborate with delivery, architecture, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of digital strategies.
- Establish and nurture trusted partnerships with senior stakeholders such as Deans and Executive Directors to influence digital priorities and funding.
- Lead various forums and working groups to enhance visibility and foster shared accountability in digital projects.
- Assist in preparing business cases, strategic documents, and governance materials.
- Monitor benefits realization, oversee risks, and suggest modifications to optimize value delivery.
- Scout market trends and emerging technologies to identify innovative opportunities.
- Ensure all digital initiatives comply with cybersecurity, privacy, and regulatory standards.
- Encourage collaboration across different portfolios to manage dependencies and speed outcomes.
- Provide strategic insights drawn from business interactions and technological market developments.
- Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned and stakeholder feedback.
Qualifications and Skills
- Post-graduate degree in IT, Business, Strategy or substantial senior-level experience in related fields.
- Demonstrated expertise in creating comprehensive digital roadmaps within complex organizational structures.
- Strong aptitude in benefits realization, portfolio governance, and strategic prioritization.
- Outstanding negotiation, interpersonal, and communication abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of digital transformation frameworks and emergent technology trends.
- Ability to convert strategic objectives into executable digital projects.
- Familiarity with enterprise governance models and business-IT alignment strategies.
- Experience with portfolio management platforms such as ServiceNow or Jira Align.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications such as SFIA, ITIL, Agile Portfolio Management, or TOGAF.
- Background in federated or matrix-style governance settings.
- Formal education or training in stakeholder engagement or organizational change leadership.
