Role Overview
We are currently seeking a dedicated Pastry Commis to join our dynamic culinary team. This entry-level position emphasizes preparing and baking pastries while adhering to high standards of quality, presentation, and safety consistent with our brand's legacy.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake food items in accordance with set recipes and quality benchmarks.
- Portion, chop, and organize ingredients prior to cooking.
- Use baking tools and kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to personal hygiene and food safety protocols rigorously.
- Monitor temperatures of food and appliances, reporting discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the workstation, including set-up and breakdown duties.
- Track food quality and portion sizes throughout the working shift.
- Follow all internal policies such as safety, security, and confidentiality.
- Maintain professional appearance and communicate effectively with colleagues and management.
- Support team objectives and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Physically capable of handling tasks involving lifting up to 25 pounds, standing or moving for extended periods, and managing workspace conditions such as uneven surfaces.
- Carry out other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Professional Experience: Less than one year in a relevant kitchen or food preparation role.
- Supervisory Experience: Not required.
- No specific licenses or certifications are mandatory.
