Position Overview
Join St. Regis Hotels & Resorts as a Butcher located in The Pearl Island, Doha, Qatar. This full-time, non-management role involves preparing various cuts of meat including beef, lamb, and pork, ensuring proper labeling with type, date, and destination. The butcher will prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, and storing food items properly, as well as weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients in line with recipes, quality standards, and presentation criteria.
Key Responsibilities
- Butchering meat as per requested cuts and standards.
- Weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients to prepare food following recipes and quality benchmarks.
- Maintaining kitchen records to comply with food safety protocols and product tracking.
- Monitoring the quality of food throughout preparation.
- Organizing and distributing workstations effectively.
- Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen areas, tables, utensils, knives, and equipment.
- Ensuring completion of cleaning checklists and verifying proper temperatures of appliances and food using thermometers.
- Adhering to company safety policies and procedures, promptly reporting accidents or unsafe conditions, and participating in safety training and certifications.
- Maintaining a neat and professional appearance and protecting company assets.
- Communicating clearly and professionally with team members while fostering positive working relationships and team support.
- Meeting quality expectations and standards consistently.
- Physically able to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods; perform stretching, bending, twisting, and occasional lifting or moving of objects up to 75 pounds.
- Performing additional reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Required Qualifications
- Technical, trade, or vocational school diploma.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a related role.
- No supervisory experience required.
- No licensing or certification mandatory.
