About the Role
Our client, a major name in the payments industry, is looking for a skilled Business Development Specialist to enhance their existing team. This position offers an excellent chance to drive the advancement of innovative payment solutions, specifically Click to Pay, within a fast-growing market and a well-established brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new product business growth by initiating contact with potential customers and managing opportunities through the entire sales pipeline to successful closure, expanding the customer base and product adoption.
- Prospect new merchants through research, cold calling, and networking activities.
- Generate leads and arrange meetings for the sales team to engage potential clients.
- Advance deals throughout the pipeline and collaborate with local account teams to ensure clients maximize the benefits of the Click to Pay solution.
- Maintain a structured pipeline of prospects and consistently follow up on leads.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) regularly.
- Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting through to signing commercial contracts, ensuring efficient and smooth sales processes.
Candidate Profile
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in sales or business development, preferably within retail or acquiring sectors.
- Demonstrated capability to quickly and effectively build senior-level relationships.
- Proven ability to handle multiple sales opportunities simultaneously across different stages of the purchasing process.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and internal teams.
- Willingness to travel within New Zealand.
Additional Information
This opportunity is initially offered as a six-month contract with a strong likelihood of extension. The working arrangement will be hybrid, combining onsite presence and remote work.
