Business Development Representative

About the Role

The Business Development Representative is tasked with driving sales and growth initiatives within the designated region of ABS Quality Evaluations Inc. This position serves as a stepping stone for individuals aiming to advance into more senior roles within the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote and sell ABS QE services leveraging the local affiliate business framework.
• Identify and maintain targeted lists of prospective clients to focus sales efforts regionally.
• Develop strategic sales plans to meet defined targets in the area.
• Provide sales forecast data along with market and customer insights to assist sales planning.
• Manage expenses within set budgets and adhere to company sales policies.
• Create client proposals in accordance with ABS QE procedures and pricing guidelines.
• Proactively follow up on proposals and deliver presentations to clients as needed.
• Support operational teams to ensure customers receive appropriate service levels.
• Assist with collections processes when required.
• Maintain regular communication with the Director of Business Development or Country Manager regarding opportunities and challenges.
• Engage in special projects and collaborative teams to advance business development objectives.
• Achieve or surpass assigned sales targets consistently.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification from an accredited institution, or relevant business/quality-related experience.
• Preferably 5 or more years of industry experience.

Preferred Background

• Experience within manufacturing and/or technical service sectors is advantageous.

Skills and Abilities

• Self-driven professional exhibiting leadership in sales.
• Energetic with strong commitment to achieving sales and business development goals.
• Proficient with computers for presentations, communications, and utilizing ABS QE operating systems.
• Familiarity with management systems or ability to quickly learn new domains.
• Culturally sensitive and adept at interacting in diverse environments.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging clients and sales team members.
• Focused on results with determination to overcome obstacles in meeting objectives.
• Capable of understanding ABS Rules, Guides, statutory regulations, and the Employee Safety Policy.

Reporting Structure

This role reports directly to the Director of Business Development or the Country Manager of ABS Quality Evaluations Inc.
