Role overview
This newly established Business Development Manager position is focused on expanding sales across industrial and mining operations in Western Australia. The role is centered on selling practical, high-demand technology solutions such as mine-site asset tracking, sensing products, and rugged device offerings. The company is an Australian business with a global footprint and is looking for someone who can help drive growth across WA.
Work arrangement
The position is based in Perth and combines office-based work with hybrid flexibility. It also involves occasional travel to client locations in the Pilbara and Kalgoorlie regions.
Key duties
- Build new business opportunities and develop fresh sales pipelines across industrial and mining sectors.
- Manage relationships with existing clients and look for ways to grow account value.
- Work closely with suppliers, channel partners, and product marketing teams.
- Keep up industry and trade show contacts to support business development efforts.
About you
You should be a sales-focused professional with a strong interest in technology-driven solutions. The role suits someone who is comfortable working independently while also contributing within a team environment. A background in technology sales, including IT-related sales, is highly valued, particularly where the products are tied to engineered hardware such as electrical, electronics, engineering components, RF, or similar fields.
