Raffles & Fairmont The Red Sea is being developed within the Red Sea Project in Saudi Arabia as a nature-led luxury retreat. The property will feature 361 rooms, eleven dining experiences, including an overwater restaurant overlooking the Red Sea and mangroves, along with a spa. It will also sit beside an 18-hole championship golf course, reinforcing Fairmont’s reputation as a world-class golf destination. Built on 200 km of untouched coastline, the destination includes an archipelago of more than 90 pristine islands, dormant volcanoes, diverse marine life, and historic archaeological sites, and is designed to raise the bar for sustainable development.
Role summary
The Buggy Host is responsible for delivering smooth, safe, and polished transport support for guests across the resort. This role combines guest assistance, local storytelling, vehicle upkeep, and close coordination with other teams to create a refined and personalised arrival and movement experience.
Key responsibilities
- Move guests comfortably and efficiently between villas, restaurants, and resort facilities.
- Deliver warm, tailored interactions by anticipating needs and sharing helpful details about the destination, amenities, and local culture.
- Drive electric buggies responsibly while following resort speed controls, pedestrian safety rules, and Saudi driving regulations.
- Carry out daily pre-shift checks covering battery status, tyre pressure, and overall cleanliness.
- Keep vehicles in excellent condition and promptly report any maintenance or mechanical concerns.
- Help load and unload guest luggage and personal belongings with professionalism and care.
- Stay in regular contact with Front Office and Concierge teams to coordinate pick-ups and drop-offs on time.
- Support the property’s sustainability standards by managing charging efficiently and reducing avoidable energy use.
- Maintain Fairmont grooming, conduct, and service expectations in every guest interaction.
Qualifications and requirements
- High school diploma or an equivalent qualification; hospitality education is considered an advantage.
- At least 1 to 2 years of experience in a guest-facing role at a luxury hotel or resort.
- A valid Saudi Arabian driving licence is mandatory.
- Strong English communication skills are required; Arabic or additional languages are an advantage.
- Creative, detail-oriented, and genuinely interested in guest relations.
- Able to work outdoors in different weather conditions and handle heavier luggage when needed.

- Knowledge of ultra-luxury guest expectations and alignment with premium brand standards is important.
- Experience in project coordination, scheduling, and document control during pre-opening phases is valued.
- Pre-opening experience is mandatory.
