About the Role

Located in Rye, New York, Release Recovery is expanding its revenue cycle operations with a focus on innovation. The Billing & Accounts Receivable Specialist will be a key contributor to the efficiency and modernization of the organization's billing processes. Reporting to the Directors of Business and Revenue Operations, this position ensures accuracy and timeliness in cash pay invoicing, contracts, and insurance claim reimbursements.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Handle all cycles of cash pay billing, generating accurate invoices promptly for patients and clients.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations to maintain precise financial records.
  • Manage contract extensions and communicate with clients or guarantors regarding billing inquiries and account status.
  • Monitor outstanding payments and actively follow up on overdue invoices.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to address billing discrepancies and obtain necessary information.
  • Keep billing systems and electronic health records (EHR/EMR) updated and well-organized.
  • Produce routine billing and revenue reports for leadership evaluation.
  • Support audit processes and contribute to continuous billing process enhancements.
  • Assist in developing insurance billing functions, including claim coding, scrubbing, submitting, tracking accounts receivable, and reporting.

Candidate Requirements

  • At least 1 to 2 years managing accounts receivable with experience in reconciliation, collections, and processing payments.
  • Highly organized with a keen eye for details.
  • Skilled in QuickBooks, DocuSign, and Excel applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
