Position Overview
Located in Burgdorf, this role involves comprehensive preparation and upkeep of vehicles, ensuring their protection against environmental factors and deterioration, and maintaining their aesthetic and functional qualities including bodywork and interior care.
Key Duties
- Prepare vehicles by treating the body and chassis to shield them from weather impact and wear, as well as maintain paintwork and interior components.
- Ensure vehicles under your charge are fully operational, roadworthy, and safe, including special on-board systems such as fire extinguishers and oxygen supply devices.
- Conduct maintenance tasks and minor repairs on engines, gearboxes, brake systems, exhausts, batteries, tires, and lighting systems.
- Perform duties as a chauffeur transporting high-ranking Swiss and foreign officials, including members of the Federal Government, using limousines, minibuses, and coaches as assigned by the coordination office.
- Log breakdown reports and order spare parts through the SAP system.
Qualifications
- Completed professional training as an automobile maintenance assistant specializing in passenger cars or commercial vehicles, or in a related field.
- Possession of driving licenses categories B, C/C1, and D/DE.
- Experience using SAP is advantageous.
- Background in traffic or transport operations within a military environment is preferred.
- Dependability, discretion, and a neat appearance.
