Job Overview
As the Assistant Marketing Manager for Samsonite Group APAC & Middle East based in Singapore, you will be responsible for planning and implementing commercially driven marketing campaigns that support sales goals across the brand portfolio. You will transform overarching brand campaigns into targeted activations tailored for various channels to enhance brand visibility, consumer engagement, and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute sales-focused marketing campaigns aligned with strategic objectives for Samsonite's diverse brand lineup.
- Customize campaign strategies for specific channels to maximize exposure and customer interaction.
- Create engaging campaign mechanics, promotional tactics, and innovative marketing ideas to boost customer traffic, conversion rates, and ultimate sales.
- Ensure campaign messages are effectively disseminated through critical customer touchpoints via collaboration with trade and commercial partners.
- Track and analyze campaign success metrics; provide actionable insights and recommendations to enhance business outcomes and return on investment.
- Develop and implement trade marketing activities with key commercial partners, including department stores, malls, and e-commerce platforms, to broaden campaign reach and uplift sales.
- Establish and nurture robust relationships with trade partners to secure additional marketing support, premium placement, and exclusive campaign opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with Sales, E-commerce, and Merchandising teams to create channel-specific activation plans consistent with each channel’s unique role.
- Identify and develop new partnerships to strengthen brand presence, attract customers, and create incremental business avenues.
- Proactively explore opportunities to enhance campaigns through partner marketing channels, events, sponsorships, roadshows, pop-ups, and consumer engagement activities.
- Negotiate value-added marketing contributions and co-investment possibilities with partners to maximize campaign exposure and ROI.
- Own the development and management of the annual marketing calendar ensuring alignment with commercial goals, product launches, and peak sales periods.
- Effectively manage the Advertising & Promotion budget to optimize marketing spend and business effectiveness.
- Coordinate campaign implementation with internal teams and external agencies to guarantee seamless execution on schedule.
- Oversee campaign resources including marketing collateral and gifts with purchase (GWP) for successful campaign delivery.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in trade marketing, commercial marketing, or partnership marketing, ideally within retail, FMCG, or consumer brand sectors.
- Proven track record working with department stores, malls, e-commerce platforms, or commercial partnerships.
- Commercially minded with demonstrated ability to design campaigns that produce quantifiable sales outcomes.
- Strong expertise in negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and relationship management.
- Highly proactive and resourceful with a keen eye for identifying growth opportunities.
- Excellent project management abilities capable of simultaneously handling multiple campaign projects.
- Analytical and results-driven with the skill to assess campaign metrics and optimize marketing investments effectively.
- Exceptional presentation and communication capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
