Job description

Position Overview

This position focuses on managing and improving Crisil's external communications and corporate branding efforts. The role demands creating and executing comprehensive media and PR strategies to boost brand visibility and manage communication with various stakeholders, including media outlets and senior leadership.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Devise and implement detailed annual PR and communication plans that align with company goals, aiming to improve media presence and brand recognition.
  • Oversee social media engagement for senior executives and provide regular updates on PR initiatives to internal teams.
  • Develop compelling narratives and media stories that reinforce the company's brand consistent with business priorities.
  • Act as a key contact for media to ensure favorable coverage and manage messaging effectively.
  • Secure strong media traction for press releases and thought leadership content, fostering robust relationships with national, financial, trade, and regional media representatives.
  • Monitor industry, competitor, and regulatory media trends, scheduling periodic meetings with journalists to maintain media rapport.
  • Manage up to three press releases daily and actively seek new media story opportunities and event participation.
  • Lead profile-building initiatives for executive leadership through annual media programs and progress reviews.
  • Coordinate closely with external agencies to ensure contract fulfillment and support team media needs via regular calls and meetings.
  • Engage stakeholders monthly to share media requirements and assess relationships using internal satisfaction scoring.
  • Organize flagship media events by planning logistics, curating invitations, and ensuring high media presence with follow-up and comprehensive post-event reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards and regulated broadcast procedures while managing internal PR-related documentation and crisis communication resources.
  • Prepare detailed reports analyzing media share of voice, competitive landscape, and insights for business units and stakeholders.
  • Support crisis communication efforts with prompt, clear messaging to mitigate reputational risks.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related discipline.
  • Between 6 to 10 years of experience in corporate communications or public relations, with mandatory journalism background.
  • Strong writing, editing, verbal communication, and project management skills.
  • Proven track record in managing media relations and outreach effectively.
