Job Overview

Join a premier sell-side research firm as a Research Analyst contributing to the Data Products division. This role involves supporting the development and maintenance of data-driven products for clients, focusing on equity valuation and financial data management.

Key Responsibilities

• Gain a thorough understanding of clients' proprietary equity valuation models and their associated data repositories.
• Create, modify, and maintain automated client reports by crafting advanced SQL queries within Gitlab and utilizing Databricks-hosted databases.
• Manage large datasets while conducting comprehensive data validation to ensure accuracy before developing interactive dashboards.
• Collaborate with domain experts, sector specialists, and analysts to comprehend data requirements and customize reporting solutions accordingly.
• Update and integrate extensive datasets into client applications via flat files, databases, or API connections.
• Develop applications using VBA and Python and perform database maintenance aligned with team needs.
• Support and develop IT systems, conduct business analysis, engage in client interactions, and assist with project coordination.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proficiency in SQL, Python or R, and VBA programming languages.
• Experience working with the Databricks cloud platform and Gitlab version control system.
• Basic familiarity with XML and Unix shell scripting.
• Sound knowledge of financial markets, accounting principles, and equity valuation methodologies.
• Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written, coupled with strong interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy, along with a diligent and hardworking attitude.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
