Position Overview
We are seeking motivated Part-time and Relief Adult Home Support Workers for Enable Ireland Adult Services located in County Clare. This role involves delivering support services to adults with physical disabilities within community houses in the Ennis area as well as assisting individuals in their family homes.
Contract Details
- Contract Type: Part-time and relief roles available
- Working Hours: Evening, weekend, and overnight shifts
- Salary Range: €35,070 to €42,440 pro rata per annum; subject to increases in 2026 in line with the WRC agreement for Section 39 organizations
- Annual Leave: 10.7% of hours worked
Role Responsibilities
Your duties will center around supporting adults with disabilities through a person-centered approach to empower service users. This includes facilitating participation in social and recreational activities and assisting with daily living tasks both in community houses and family homes.
Candidate Requirements
- Essential Qualifications: Minimum QQI Level 5 Major Award (8 modules) in Social Care, Disability, Care Skills or a relevant health-related area. Candidates with 2 completed modules are eligible if they commit to completing the full award.
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience working with adults with disabilities.
- Driving: Full clean driving license and willingness to operate service vehicles.
- Eligibility to work legally in Ireland.
- Basic proficiency in IT skills.
- Desirable Attributes: Experience in HIQA designated centers, community and in-home support experience, and experience addressing challenging behaviors in service users (may be used in shortlisting if many applications).
