The organisation is committed to equality, diversity, inclusion, fairness, respect and ongoing improvement, and holds a Silver Award in Diversity from the Irish Centre for Diversity.

Role Summary

This opportunity is for 3 Adult Support Workers to join Limerick Adult Services at the West Limerick Hub in Newcastlewest/Rathkeale. The position is part-time and permanent, with 35 hours of work per week.

What the Role Involves

The post holder will work within the adult day service and also in service owners' homes, delivering individualised support. The work includes help with personal care, mobility, access to community services, and participation in the virtual day service. The role also supports service owners to build opportunities in training, employment and fuller inclusion in their local communities.

Contract and Pay

This is a part-time permanent role. The salary range is €35,070 to €42,440 pro rata per year, with salary scales subject to Long Service Increments (LSIs). The pay scale is scheduled to increase in 2026 in line with the recent WRC agreement on enhanced pay adjustments for Section 39 organisations.

Annual leave entitlement is 30 days per year pro rata.

Selection Criteria

The successful applicant will need the required qualification and relevant experience, along with the ability to work safely, communicate well and keep accurate records. Knowledge of disability-related practice, adult protection and lone working is also important.

Additional Information

Applicants must use the online application form; CVs will not be accepted. The closing date is 4:00pm on Friday 31 July 2026. The organisation may close the vacancy early if enough applications are received, and applications will be assessed as they come in, so early submission is encouraged. A panel may be formed from this recruitment for similar vacancies arising over the next 12 months.

The post is subject to reference checks and may require Garda vetting or police clearance, where applicable. No individual feedback will be provided to candidates who are not shortlisted due to the volume of applications. Applications are welcomed from suitably qualified people from all sections of the community. The information provided is intended as a guide and may be changed at the organisation’s discretion before appointment.

Information will be retained in line with the organisation’s retention policy.
