Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our warehouse located in the Greater Accra Region, Ghana. The successful candidate will manage activities such as receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping, while ensuring efficient and accurate handling of all inventory items.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily warehouse operations including inventory receipt, storage, picking, packing, and shipping processes.
- Delegate tasks to warehouse personnel and monitor team performance on an ongoing basis.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels through frequent stock audits and careful monitoring.
- Ensure goods are stored properly with correct labeling and handling procedures applied.
- Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to monitor inventory flow, shipment status, and warehouse productivity.
- Uphold compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and operational guidelines within the warehouse environment.
- Keep the warehouse area organized, clean, and efficient at all times.
- Identify and recommend improvements to enhance workflow efficiency, reduce errors, and minimize delays.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments to verify quality and accuracy standards.
- Compile and submit daily and weekly reports related to inventory, productivity, workforce management, and overall warehouse performance.
- Communicate operational issues, warehouse performance results, and resource needs to management regularly.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
- Between 2 to 5 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or supply chain environments, including previous supervisory or team leadership roles.
- Sound knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and effective use of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Proficiency with basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with safety standards applicable to warehouse operations.
- Physically fit and able to undertake required tasks in a warehouse setting.
- Dependable, responsible, and able to perform well under pressure.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and overtime when necessary.
- Educational background preferred: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Mathematics and Statistics, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
