We are recruiting a permanent Warehouse Storeperson for the afternoon shift at our Wiri location. This position involves working independently to manage tasks such as picking, putaway operations, removal of damaged goods, and receiving finished products. Emphasising continuous process improvement, you'll assist in enhancing warehouse efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Position Details

  • Location: Wiri, Auckland
  • Work Days: Monday to Friday
  • Shift Hours: 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM
  • Employment Status: Permanent, Full-Time
  • Selection procedure includes interview, assessment, background check, and pre-employment medical examination.

Responsibilities

  • Support operational activities within the Bluebird warehouse by implementing best practices to maintain low costs and meet service targets aligned with supply chain goals.
  • Collaborate with Shift Manager and Warehouse Despatchers to promote a culture of continuous improvement and enhance performance across all shifts through effective communication and teamwork.
  • Engage with other shifts to advance functionally related continuous improvement projects.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Tertiary qualifications are preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficient problem-solving and critical thinking with good mathematical skills.
  • Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Computer proficiency, including intermediate level Excel skills.
