Role Summary
The Vice President of Projects is a fully remote, full-time senior leadership position responsible for overseeing strategic project initiatives throughout GRI's international operations. This role demands leadership across project portfolios by defining clear scopes and goals, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and within budget, all while aligning with the company’s broader business strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and govern project portfolios across multiple countries.
- Establish and maintain project governance frameworks.
- Align project objectives with organizational goals and timelines.
- Optimize allocation of resources to maximize project efficiency.
- Monitor performance indicators and suggest improvements.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with teams such as engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, sales, and sustainability.
- Manage and mitigate risks and issues impeding project progress.
- Maintain effective communication with senior leadership regarding project status and outcomes.
- Promote continuous enhancement of project management methodologies and organizational accountability.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Proven expertise in managing complex, multi-country project portfolios and programs.
- Strong strategic planning, organizational abilities, and prioritization to align with company growth objectives.
- Demonstrated leadership managing diverse cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing or industrial sectors, preferably tire manufacturing or automotive industries.
- Skilled in project management methodologies including PMI frameworks, Agile, or hybrid approaches.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, adept at conveying complex information to executive audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related discipline; advanced degrees such as an MBA are advantageous.
- Experience working in international, multicultural organizations with an emphasis on sustainability and ongoing improvement.
