Role Overview
We are seeking a Vehicle Preparation Assistant based in Peterborough to play an essential role in the vehicle readiness process. You will ensure vehicles meet Motorpoint’s high standards prior to customer handover or showroom display by assisting with inspections, reconditioning efforts, valeting, and photographic documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily vehicle damage inspections and confirm specifications and service histories.
- Support reconditioning and detailed cleaning of vehicles to prepare them for display and collection.
- Take high-quality photographs of vehicles adhering to company guidelines for marketing and record-keeping.
- Manage vehicle check-ins in all weather conditions with diligence.
- Handle customer and personal data compliantly under GDPR regulations.
- Assist with vehicle movements both on-site and at external locations.
- Coordinate professionally with drivers and transport personnel to resolve any logistical issues.
- Perform ad hoc duties as assigned to support the vehicle preparation team.
Candidate Requirements
- Possession of a full UK driving licence is mandatory.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Motivated to meet tight deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
- Meticulous attention to detail with a strong commitment to cleanliness and presentation standards.
- Capacity to maintain composure under pressure and demonstrate a proactive, problem-solving approach.
- Willingness to offer support across different sites when necessary.
