About The Role
Join Mt Pleasant Tavern as an Assistant Manager and take charge of operations in one of Mackay's busiest suburban taverns. This role demands a hospitality professional who thrives in fast-paced settings, eager to lead a dynamic team and ensure smooth daily operations across the bistro, sports bar, and gaming rooms.
Responsibilities
- Build strong connections with regular patrons, becoming a familiar and trusted face.
- Support the Publican in maintaining seamless, safe, and enjoyable pub experiences.
- Gain leadership experience by managing a team of hospitality professionals and gradually learn Publican duties.
- Proactively resolve issues before they escalate.
- Deliver high energy, excellent service, and a positive atmosphere during every shift.
Role Requirements
- This position requires physically demanding tasks including manual handling, such as moving stock, kegs, and deliveries; candidates must be capable of performing such activities safely and effectively.
- Experience working in bars, bistros, or gaming rooms, preferably with prior supervisory responsibilities.
- Confidence, pride, and strong interpersonal skills to represent the pub in the Publican's absence.
- Possession of current RSA/RSG, RMLV, and Approved Manager Licenses as mandated by state regulations.
