Located in Colwyn Bay, the zoo is home to over 60 species, welcomes more than 150,000 visitors annually, and runs conservation initiatives both locally and internationally. As a member of BIAZA, EAZA, and WAZA, the organization adheres to exemplary standards in animal welfare, conservation, and education.

  • One Trustee with in-depth knowledge of biodiversity conservation, including familiarity with both local and international conservation frameworks, and an understanding of the contemporary role zoos play in species preservation.

Role Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with fellow Board members and the senior executive team to provide visionary leadership and robust governance.
  • Contribute to strategic planning to secure the zoo's long-term viability and growth.
  • Support and advance the organization's conservation and educational goals.
