About ASOS

ASOS is a leading digital fashion retailer committed to empowering customers worldwide to express their authentic selves. We foster an inclusive culture where creativity thrives and all employees can be their true selves without judgment. ASOS is proud to be Disability Confident Committed, providing reasonable adjustments during recruitment for anyone who requires them.

Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sustainability Partner to join our sustainability team. Reporting to the Head of Sustainability, this role demands a proactive self-starter who embraces teamwork and takes ownership to support company-wide KPIs focused on ethical fashion, profit, and growth.

The successful candidate will spearhead ASOS’s compliance with emerging sustainability regulations such as ESPR, Digital Product Passports, and green claims. They will collaborate cross-functionally to embed these legislative requirements into practical policies, processes, and tools. Additionally, the role drives circularity and sustainability engagement across product development teams, promoting sustainable material use and circular design integration.

Flexible arrangements are offered, including full-time or a four-day workweek.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead ASOS's efforts in preparing for evolving sustainability legislation and product compliance, including monitoring relevant regulatory updates and formulating internal responses.
  • Convert complex legislative and compliance mandates into actionable policies, processes, and practical guidance for ASOS teams and suppliers, ensuring comprehensive execution across own-brand products and third-party activities.
  • Oversee implementation and performance tracking of circular business initiatives such as resale, takeback, and repair programs.
  • Collaborate closely with buying, design, merchandising, garment technology, fabric sourcing, technical, and chemical compliance teams to embed sustainability principles in product strategies and category decisions.
  • Facilitate increased adoption of sustainable materials by identifying opportunities, mitigating obstacles, and monitoring progress aligned with ASOS's sustainability aims.
  • Assist in establishing sustainability due diligence frameworks that support commercial teams and supply chain partners in meeting evolving legal and business standards.
  • Maintain and institutionalize circular design practices across multiple product teams as part of regular operations, supporting tools, guidance, and workflows.
  • Develop KPIs and reporting structures to evaluate progress on legislative readiness, sustainability initiatives, sustainable material usage, and circular design activities.
  • Create and deliver educational sessions and materials for commercial teams and suppliers covering legislation, compliance, sustainable materials, and circular design expectations.
  • Engage with suppliers and external stakeholders to facilitate adoption of sustainability policies and product requirements as necessary.
  • Represent ASOS’s sustainability interests internally and externally, sharing insights and keeping the company aligned with industry and regulatory trends.
  • Manage partnerships and projects related to circular fashion collaboration.
  • Support sustainability reporting activities for ASOS Plc’s website, annual CR report, and NGO engagements in coordination with the Sustainability and Data teams.
  • Serve as the point of contact for sustainable product marketing campaigns, reviewing environmental claims and liaising with relevant departments for approval and coordination.
  • Deliver compelling presentations to large groups including senior leadership, demonstrating confidence and clarity.

Additional Information and Benefits

  • Employee discounts across ASOS products
  • Access to employee sample sales
  • 25 days annual leave plus an additional celebration day for special occasions
  • Discretionary bonus program
  • Private medical insurance
  • Flexible benefits allowance, convertible to cash or other perks
