About the Role

The Relationship Manager for Kisan Credit Card (KCC) plays a crucial role within the Rural Banking division, focusing on delivering customized financial services catered to KCC clients. This position emphasizes attracting new clients, expanding current customer relationships, and ensuring superior service quality. Coordination with product and operations teams is essential to drive new customer acquisition, ongoing service excellence, and portfolio expansion. This position supports branch banking goals by managing New-to-Bank (NTB) customers and enhancing profitability.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Expand liabilities by increasing account balances of existing KCC clients and growing wallet share.
  • Analyze account transaction flows to identify and capitalize on business development possibilities.
  • Maintain frequent engagement with customers via mail and phone, providing updates on interest rates, currency exchange, and product offerings.
  • Source new KCC leads through referrals, broker networks, and other channels.
  • Bring new KCC customers onboard, utilizing expert knowledge in credit evaluations and financial paperwork.
  • Apply expertise in liabilities, forex, trade finance, delinquency control, and relationship management to enhance business volume.
  • Oversee the KCC portfolio with ongoing monitoring, renewals, retention efforts, and ensure portfolio quality by minimizing deferrals and covenant violations.
  • Partner with branch banking executives to harness synergies and align with bank-wide initiatives.
  • Conduct competitor and customer analysis to recommend growth tactics.
  • Propose process enhancements aimed at improving service efficiency and quality across branches.
  • Demonstrate skills in sales planning, promotional activities, and marketing campaigns.
  • Interpret financial statements, perform credit assessments, and review title/security documents effectively.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Identify and recruit top talent for critical roles within the reporting domain.
  • Track employee output, hiring quality, and attrition; implement corrective strategies where needed.
  • Support teams strategically and operationally to meet growth targets.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field.
  • A minimum of three years' experience relevant to rural banking, KCC or credit products, or relationship management roles.

  • Deep understanding of KCC products and rural customer dynamics.
  • Competency in credit appraisal and managing financial documentation.
  • Strong communication skills paired with relationship building and problem-solving abilities.
