Role Overview

Under the supervision of the Vice President of Product Development & Technical Design, the Product Development Assistant will provide crucial support to the Product Development teams handling Denim and Ready-to-Wear categories. This position oversees various aspects of the product development lifecycle, ensuring the accuracy of data, smooth sample management, and seamless communication between departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage coordination of shipments and development materials to external vendors.
  • Assist with the organization and distribution of product development packages.
  • Track and monitor development samples across stages from Prototype to Salesman Sample, ensuring timely updates.
  • Maintain precise data entry and documentation using Microsoft Excel and WFX PLM system.
  • Oversee incoming sample reception and distribute them accurately to respective teams.
  • Work collaboratively with Design, Merchandising, Production, Sourcing, and Product Development to adhere to development timelines.
  • Offer administrative and operational assistance within the Product Development department.
  • Keep organized records and help manage workflows spanning various categories, styles, and calendars.
  • Contribute to special projects and fulfill additional related tasks as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Preferred Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Fashion Design, Product Development, or related disciplines.
  • Exceptional organizational capabilities to juggle multiple priorities efficiently in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong attention to detail coupled with reliable completion of assigned tasks.
  • Ability to work with urgency to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, enabling effective collaboration at all organizational levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with NetSuite WFX PLM and Figma is advantageous.
  • Must be present onsite at least four days per week; this position does not offer remote work options.
